Fostering Hope - Virtual 5K/10K

With the continued importance of social distancing stemming from the worldwide coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), we have decided to cancel all traditional in-person events this year and hold our first Virtual Fostering Hope 5k/10k.

Our number one priority is the health and well-being of our children and families, supporters, volunteers, staff and sponsors. 

Join us for our Virtual Fostering Hope 5k/10k-Walk/Run -Sponsored by Alliant- in support of Berkshire's Mission Fund! Unlike our yearly golf classic, fall dinner or Heroes Bowl which are restricted to one location, this event is open to anyone-anywhere, not just NYS!

Who can participate: - Anyone, anywhere that has the ability to run, walk, ride or roll a 5K (3.1 miles)​ or 10K (6.21 miles) 

What: - A virtual 5K is your own "race" at your own pace on your own schedule! - This is non competitive - but you can choose to submit your times- Medals will be awarded for fastest 5K and fastest 10K.

- Each registrant will receive an official Fostering Hope 5k/10k  t-shirt and fanny pack and official race bib!

- Each registration counts as one entry into our raffles for some great prizes! (Follow us on FB to see what you could win!)

- Take photos and videos and tag @Berkshirefarmcenter using #fosteringhope5k10k for additional chances to win!

Where: - Any location you choose...the road, the trail, the treadmill... - Anywhere you can practice the necessary social distancing precautions.

When: - The Virtual 5K/10K begins Friday, July 24 - Monday July 27, 2020. 

Why: - To come together to show support for our children & families across NYS. We are all being effected by COVID-19, but many of our families are feeling these effects even more. Imagine not knowing how you will feed your children or pay the utility bills in the next month. During this pandemic this is all too realistic for many of the children and families in our care. YOU CAN HELP! With your support by participating in our Virtual Fostering Hope 5k/10k we can keep these families safe & healthy in their homes. Our children & families need your support, now more then ever. 

**This is a virtual event.  Participants run or walk on their own time, at the venue of their choice, at their own risk. Berkshire Farm Center assumes no responsibility for participant's health or safety. Participating youth are encouraged to walk/run with an adult at least 18 years of age.**
