Berkshire offers nine community-based group homes in New York State for adjudicated delinquents, Persons in Need of Supervision (PINS), and voluntary placements as alternatives to the more structured institutional care setting.

Each of Berkshire's nine group homes maintains 24-hour supervision, and staff helps youth to develop cultural, recreational, and educational interests while addressing clinical needs.
