With your support of Keeping Families Together eAppeal, Berkshire can provide the resources and help many families need to stay united and build stronger bonds. Last year, our family prevention programs served 5,000 children and their families across the state and 97 percent of the families who participated in our programs stayed together. Each dollar you give translates into a direct experience for a child and a shared memory for a family. You can also help by "sharing" your donation on your social media page and encouraging others to join you in giving.

One of New York State’s leading statewide nonprofit child welfare agencies, Berkshire has a 128-year history of changing the lives of some of the state’s most vulnerable, traumatized, at-risk children and families. Statewide, Berkshire serves thousands of children – boys and girls of all ages– in community, home, and school-settings with foster care, group homes, family preservation and reunification, truancy and crisis prevention, counseling, and specialized education programs. At our beautiful 2,000 acre residential treatment campus, we provide specialized treatment and educational services to adolescent boys and their families, including an accredited curriculum in an on-site junior/senior high school. Our Workforce Development Program prepares students for success in college and careers. Berkshire creates a caring, structured, and stable environment that provides the boys and their families with an opportunity to learn how to lead healthy, productive lives together.
