Jim Dennis has been employed at Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth since June 24, 1985. Since joining Berkshire Farm, he has worked as a Detention Counselor, Prevention Family Specialist, Special Services Coordinator, District Supervisor, Regional Director, Deputy Director, Vice President and Interim CEO & Chief Program Officer.
Prior to becoming President and CEO, Jim was responsible for the oversight of the agency programming statewide which included the residential campus, six group homes, therapeutic and treatment foster care, community and school based prevention programs, two non-secure detention facilities and secure detention facility. Prior to coming to Berkshire Farm, Jim worked at Montgomery County Department of Social Services as a Social Welfare Examiner, Foster Care Worker and Child Protective Worker for five years.
Mr. Dennis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Alliance College/Empire State College and earned his Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. In completing the Master’s program, Mr. Dennis conducted research and wrote his thesis on home based counseling.
